|..What's a good blog?..|
A site is successful when you can get a lot of people to view your blog. To get a lot of people to view your blog, it must be interesting and compelling to a lot of people or no one is willing to visit your site. Sites like http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ and laughingsquid.com are great examples of blogs because they are interesting to look at. It has a nice and simple layout that doesn't confuse anybody and it is easy to find the information you need. There are a lot of events that one can visit in the bay area and this will already attract a lot of bay area viewers to find out any new upcoming events. I think these two blogs were nominated because there were a lot of views by the people and they all got a lot of vaulable information from the blogs. As a result, more and more people are recomended to it, resulting in many more viewers getting the information and increasing their knowledge from the blog. There are many reasons why the two websites are effective but the two main reasons that I thought these websites were great examples of blogs because they had very simple layouts for us to view. As a result, the information was easily read and understood. There were also interesting pictures on each site making them compelling and made me stay on the blog for a little while longer. I thought that the sites also made great connections to their audience because I related a lot to laughing squid because I live in the bay area and it was giving me a lot of information about the different events that are happening. I can use this information that I got from these websites for my own by implimenting the various skills they used for their blogs. I can post interesting pictures to compel people and also have easy to see simple layouts. I also have to be simple and to the point so I don't bore anyone trying to read my blog.
